I’m Berline Jean Jacques, I was born and raised in Central Florida, where I developed a strong connection to my community and an early passion for understanding how people think, feel, and behave. This curiosity led me to pursue my education in psychology, starting at Valencia College where I earned my associate’s degree. From there, I went on to the University of Central Florida, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a Minor in Crime, Law, and Deviance.

Currently, I’m continuing my academic journey as a graduate student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where I’m pursuing a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’m excited to keep learning and growing as I work toward becoming a fully licensed counselor.

When it comes to my counseling approach, I believe in creating a safe, open space where individuals can feel heard and supported. I use Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to guide my work. These modalities help clients explore their feelings, challenge negative thought patterns, and focus on actionable steps for change. I believe that each person is unique, so I tailor my approach to fit the needs of each individual.

I work with a wide range of people, from children and adolescents to adults, and I’m particularly passionate about helping clients find their inner strength and confidence. I know that life can be tough, and sometimes it can feel like the challenges we face define us. But I’m here to remind my clients that they have the power to define themselves. My goal is to help you build the skills you need to confidently navigate whatever life throws your way.

As I continue to grow and develop as a future clinical professional, I’m committed to learning new strategies and techniques to better serve my clients. I want to be someone you can count on to support you, help you build your “toolbox” for handling life’s ups and downs, and ultimately, guide you on your path to self-discovery and healing.
